CookTutor does not use ads, third-party analytics, or tracking. We do not upload your recipes, nickname, or cooking records to a developer server. We do not sell or share that data. The core cook path does not require an account or a login wall.
CookTutor is a paid App Store download. You pay once before download; after install you have the full kitchen. This is a one-time buyout, not a subscription, and does not auto-renew. There is no trial and no in-app unlock. Apple handles payment. CookTutor does not upload payment details to a developer server. Apple’s own privacy policy covers how Apple handles transaction data.
Personal recipes, nickname, favourites, This Meal, and the grocery list stay on the device. They can sync through your Apple ID into your private iCloud store. The developer cannot browse that private store. If several devices write the same record, the last successful write wins. If you are not signed in to iCloud, changes stay on this device only. In App Store privacy labels, “Name” is the nickname you type and “Other User Content” is the recipes and cooking records you write. Both are used for app functionality, not tracking.
When you tap Plan a Meal for Me, Choose Another Meal, or Swap This Dish, CookTutor may read approximate location at most once every 30 days to judge the season. Opening This Meal does not request location. Precise coordinates are not saved and are not uploaded to developer servers. A coarse region is saved on this device in your profile. It can sync with your profile into your private iCloud store. The developer cannot browse that store. If you decline, the phone region is used instead. This matches the App Store privacy label for Coarse Location: app functionality only, not tracking.
New recipes accept only the house template text you paste. The app organises that text on this device into a name, shopping list, and method. CookTutor does not visit a pasted web address and does not fetch recipe pages from third-party sites or a developer server.
Downloaded official plate photos sit in the system cache, are not backed up to iCloud, and may be purged when storage is low.
The profile photo you choose stays on this device. Location data is stripped before saving. CookTutor does not upload profile photos to the developer’s servers.
Timers send alerts only after you grant notification permission. You can turn notifications off in Settings. Personal recipes can be deleted in the app; iCloud copies can be removed through your Apple ID’s iCloud tools.
CookTutor does not knowingly collect personal data from children and does not offer public chat, stranger interaction, or targeted ads.
